The school holds many events in which pupils can take part.

Regularly, we stage a large show at the Manor Pavilion in Sidmouth in which ALL pupils, from babies under five to senior students, take part. It is a chance to see how the pupils have improved and also gives them the experience of performing before the public.

Coach trips to see West End and touring shows at a reduced rate, occasionally with our own ex-pupils in the show!

Encouraging pupils to learn the art of expressing their own ideas. The winners of the competition are given the opportunity to perform their dances at the annual Prize Giving.

At the end of our summer term we have a day when parents can come and see students receiving progress awards where cups are presented for appearance, attitude, improvement and hard work shown in class. We finish with the winners of the choreography competition performing their routines.

Every other year we enter pupils for exams. This gives them something to work towards, as well as a great sense of achievement when they pass. Of course exams are necessary for those who wish to become teachers. Not all pupils, however, are born dancers, and you can be assured that any pupil not wanting to take exams will not be held back, but will move to the next grade with the rest of their class.
